Sea Otter Island National Park: A Case Study
for the Eppley Institute for Parks and Public Lands — Bloomington, Indiana Developed for National Park Service training purposes, this fictitious national park required extensive research and communication with multiple experts for the drafting of Sea Otter Island National Park’s 80+ page general management plan as well as the brochure and map. Every effort was made so this park seems like a real place during training events. More than 10 years after developing this project for Eppley, we’re pleased to learn that it remains a valuable training tool for the NPS.

for California Polytechnic State University — San Luis Obispo, California During my 3.5 years teaching with the English Department at California Polytechnic State University—San Luis Obispo, I taught Technical Writing to hundreds of engineering students. Students were encouraged to understand the importance of clarity, flow, and precision in writing as another powerful tool available to them in their forthcoming engineering careers.
